Campus Guardian Emergency Notification
Campus Guardian Emergency Notification converts a cell phone into a personal security device. Within seconds of pressing a button on the phone keypad or dialing 911, an alarm appears in campus security showing the locations of the caller and available security officers on an enhanced campus map. GPS location and caller trajectory information assist in finding the caller quickly.
Additional caller-specific information is provided, including the caller’s name, phone number, description, photograph and relevant medical information in order to maximize the information available to campus security.
Additional tools provide text descriptions of the caller’s location and the ability to dispatch and locate responding officers. Both officers and the caller are located throughout the event to help expedite the response, even if the caller is moving.
Finally, a suite of reporting tools provides the school with the ability to evaluate event handling to continuously improve operating procedures.
A high availability architecture, enterprise database and leading GIS software are employed to provide a complete end-to-end personal security solution.
